I have so much catching up to do on this blog! Wow, I think I say this every time I post, but I really have been wanting to post more! Please nag me to do so!
So, it's been so long that I've moved on to a new sketchbook. Filled the last one up. Isn't it fun when that happens? It's like watching someone grow up - remembering back to when that first blank page was staring at you. The first page is always so daunting. And then, before you know it, every page is filled. ~Sigh~
So here is just a little glimpse of what has been happening in my newest sketchbook: lots of doodling, expressive painting, and not much, well, actual "sketching". ;)
Happy Thursday friends! Thanks for following along - and seriously - nag me about blogging more, I need you to!
Ahhhh, summer summer summer. I just love it so. I've had a little more time lately to work in my sketchbook (a two week vacation will give you that time!) and it's been fun getting lost in my world of color and floral doodling...
I am sitting here in my studio with itchy eyes, a runny nose, and constant sneezing. It's snowing outside - well, a snowy, icy mix - and I'm pretty much over winter.
Thankfully, this winter has been easier for me. It's been colder than last year, and we've had way more snow, but I've kept my spirits up because I knew what I was getting into after last year's frigid wakeup call.
And looking at my sketchbook, it's hard to see that I've been doodling away while the temperature outside is in the 20's. If there's one place where I can get lost in, it's my sketchbook. And it sure looks like spring on these pages...
Here's what I've been up to:
Happy Friday, happy weekend, and happy almost end of winter!
One of my goals this new year is to be more intentional about my sketchbook time. I really feel like that's where so many ideas are formed and styles are defined. So the past couple weeks, I've been making sure this is part of my daily "work day" and I'm so glad that I'm getting into this rhythm.
