Before and After: Coffee Table Revamp

So #25 on my 29 before 30 list (see the full list here) was to fix up an old dresser for Brent and I's bedroom. Well, I haven't found a dresser that I like yet, but I did find a killer 70's mod coffee table for $25 that was just the right size/shape for our new place in Virginia! I decided that this definitely counts as #25 - and even better, I'm quite happy with how it turned out.

I wanted a piece that would bring a little more of a modern vibe into the eclectic mix of our home, so I painted some bold, geometric sections on the table top, but also let some of the wood stay as part of the design.

The Perfect Chair

We are on the hunt for "the perfect chair" for the studio. The dream is this: me, painting away in my corner; Brent, lounging in a chair while writing on his laptop in his corner. If he get's his way it will be an ugly, yet amazingly comfortable Lazy-Boy. If I get my way, I'll have an unlimited budget and it will be one of these...
