This is why my 365 Project has been "modified" to 365 illustrations within 365 days (not one project a day). See, I'm almost in my 2nd month and I'm only on #12. But, before you judge, that's because I had family in town! My sister visited for 5 days and then my parents. So there was literally no art being made.
Today I was able to get this illustration ready for print, and I'm really excited about where this project has started to take me. I found this amazing art history book at a used book store, and have started doing some mixed media pieces on the old, worn pages.
So, without further ado, here is illustration #12:
This is available in my etsy shop as an 8" x 10" print on heavyweight linen paper.
I've added some 5" x 7" options to the shop for most of the illustrations. And, there are a few deals if you order 2 or more!
Happy Thursday everyone, and thanks for stopping by Makewells blog today :)
I'm really enjoying this little 365 project thus far. Giving myself a little room to breathe in terms of not actually have to complete one each and every day helps with my habit of getting overwhelmed way too easily.
Here are illustrations #9-11. And don't forget, if you have a verse or phrase you'd like to see, I'm open to suggestions...
All of these are available to purchase in my etsy shop, but you can also email me at email@example.com to inquire about custom orders.
I'm doing it. Yep. I'm doing a 365 Project. But I'm changing the rules. Instead of one thing being made a day for 365 days, my project is a tiny bit different. I must make 365 things in 365 days. This gives me the flexibility to make 3 on one day, and none on another (if I'm out of town, too busy, etc...)
What's it gonna be? ILLUSTRATIONS! I have been making hand lettered/hand painted illustrations to sell as prints in my etsy shop for quite a few months now. But, they've been few and far between. Projects like giant walls to paint and crazy detailed portraits have held precident. And this whole time, I've been keeping a list of ideas to add to my little collection.
So, now that I'm announcing it, I'm forcing myself to be held accountable. Oh, I'm so excited.
This project actually began on Sept. 6th, but I wanted to give myself a week or so to see how I was doing before I put it up on the blog. Because, you know, if it's on the blog than it's pretty much like a contract (not).
So without further ado...here are Illustrations #1-8
1.) Best Friends, for like, Ever.
2. The Letter A
3. The Letter B
4. Make Stuff - Be Happy - Repeat
5. The Letter C
6. The Letter D
7. The Letter E
8. How Great Thou Art
I have all these can be found in my etsy shop and are professionally printed on very high quality watercolor paper. If you have any requests for quotes or verses you'd like to see me make, let me know!
