What the heck is GarageFest you ask? Well, GarageFest was a free event in downtown Lynchburg this past weekend that was pretty much...um, awesome?
This entire event took place in a parking garage - with everything from live graffitti art, skateboarding, chainsaw art, and live music (my favorites were Jeff Carl and Tony Camm), as well as food/beer vendors, artists, classic cars, Harley Davidson, and some fire dancing. Yah, there was a lot.
I was really excited about having my art at this event because it was more of the "vibe" my art is geared toward - more funky than not. So I did some new smaller (aka, lower priced) pieces using my instagrams and photos of Lynchburg and other spots in Virginia, as well as adding some plaster dipped flowers to a few other pieces, and making some prints and cards of my illustrations. Overall, I was pretty pleased with the response. Here is a peek at my little parking spot and the new work:

(4" x 4" on wood with wire hanger)
(8" x 8" on canvas with plaster flowers)
And here are some shots of the day...

And of course...Brent was there to write about the event for The Burg (and be my assistant!)
So happy to be a part of this type of event in Lynchburg! Good times...but now, I'm off to England!

Oh that picture of Little G is SO cute!! It was so fun and great to meet you!! I hope your trip to London was awesome!!
