I am having so much fun with this Fab 5 series - and I'm quite excited to share today's 5 brilliant design blogs with you because they are pretty much visual playgrounds. These 5 gals I'm about to introduce you to share with the blog world the best design around - everything from interiors and furniture to graphics and fashion.
Here you go... Today's Fab 5: Design Blogs
1. Victoria Smith: SF Girl by Bay
'Bohemian Modern Style' - that's how the stuff Victoria Smith of SF Girl by Bay finds can be described. And that's pretty much how I'd describe my own style. So it's no wonder I wander over to this place almost every day.
Besides 2-3 great posts each day (which bring in about a gazillion followers), one thing I love over at SF Girl by Bay is the Resource Page. Holy moly, this is the most fantastic collection of links I've ever seen. Victoria will direct you to pretty much every fantastic website there is (except, I have yet to find Makewells on there...hmmm).
Here's just a taste of what you'll find over there:
2. Bri Emery: DesignLoveFest
The subtitle says it all: "where type & images totally make out". And that's why I love this blog. I really can't describe this blog any better than it's put on her about page, so I'm not even going to try:
DesignLoveFest feature's Bri's "exquisitely curated layouts featuring bright colors and fabulous design, mixed with witty typography and a flair for the unexpected."
Besides running this cool Blog and contributing over at Oh, Joy!, Bri runs Blogshop, a two-day traveling photoshop bootcamp for bloggers. I want to go to one, yet they don't seem to have Lynchburg on their radar as a possible stop -just yet.
Here's just one example of what you'll find over there:
3. Eva Black: Eva Black Design Blog
What I really like about Eva's blog, is that not only does she share what inspires her in the design world, but she shares updates of her own work. I like that. Because really, her work is very, very cool.
I might just have to feature her again coming up, perhaps as a Monday Muse - but for now, go check out her blog for some great design inspiration, like you'll see below:
4. Ez Pudewa: Creature Comforts
This blog, run by Ez (pronounced ee-zee), is just jam packed with everything creative. I don't know if I'd classify Creature Comforts as a "design blog" as much as it is just a creative place on the internet. Ez simply shares beautiful things everyday that are inspiring to look at.
My favorites are her Color Inspiration Daily posts (a few are shown below) in which she pairs beautiful imagery with the color palettes to match.
Ez also has some killer Pinterest boards that I definitely recommend following! (along with almost 2 million other people...)
5. Ellie Snow: Mint Design Blog
Like quite a few other bloggers out there (myself included), Ellie Snow began this blog as a place to store all the things she found inspiring. Within a year, she was named one of the “50 of the World’s Best Design Blogs” by the London Times.
Personally, I just love her "Make it Your Own" posts where she finds beautiful interior spaces and then piece by piece shows you had to incorporate the look into your own home.
That wraps up this week's Fab 5. I could look through these blogs forever and ever, so beware. It is Friday afterall, so if you don't feel like night out, I suggest you grab a glass of wine and some takeout and you plant yourself on the couch all night browsing through these blogs!
Did I miss one of your favorites? If so, I'd love for you to share...
Happy Weekend
