One of the best things about keeping a sketchbook is finding it a few years later once you've forgotten about everything in there. That's what happened to me this past weekend. While looking for something lost in the midst of a move to another state, I stumbled across a sketchbook I started two years ago...
I called it my typography sketchbook. It was the fall of 2010 and I made a vow to my AP Art students that I would have one sketchbook set aside just for typography that year. And that I would fill it up. Neither of these things happened - of course - but I did keep up with it for long enough to be pleasantly surprised when I stumbled across it again.
So, for today's Tuesday Type, here's a look at some Vintage Makewells - a little sketchbook typography circa 2010.
I think it's pretty easy to see I was inspired by this guy: Will Miller.
Happy Tuesday!
