I'm starting something new today (of course...I like to start new things...). I call it the Fab 5 Series. I read so many blogs on a daily basis (well, maybe almost daily) that I wanted to share some of my favorites with you.
Today, I'm starting with my favorite Artist Bloggers. That's right...not Art Bloggers, but actual artists who blog about what they do - as well as what inspires them. That's what I would consider myself, so I thought this was a great place to start when it comes to some of my favorite blogs.
So, in random order, here are 5 of my favorite artists who blog to let us follow along their creative journies...
#1 Alisa Burke
I said this was random order, but I lied. Alisa is my favorite, hands down. Her blog is full of visual eye candy, ranging from peeks inside her sketchbook to her journies exploring (she just moved to the Oregon Coast with her husband and cute little baby daughter). Alisa teaches a ton of online classes and is now has a beautiful studio where she hosts workshops and retreats.
Her blog is a definite bookmark if you are someone who enjoys a little dose of inspiration each day. Go check it out!

Cathy McMurray has been an inspiration to me for a very personal reason - she used to be a full-time art teacher. Now she's a full-time artist and she makes the coolest stuff. Her work is inspired by the mountains and the sea (she also lives in Oregon...I should probably move there...).
What I love about Cathy's blog (entitled Habit of Art) is how she incorporates writings about her inspiration process, explorations, and other creative endeavors. You can purchase some her work at her etsy shop - but whether you plan to buy or not, her work is so lovely to browse through.

#3 Oana Befort
I don't know how else to describe Oana Befort's blog and work other than just lovely. Oana is a freelance illustrator and graphic designer who shares her work and inspriation on her blog. Her work is light and feminine and like I said, just plain lovely.
I love to visit Oana's blog for a little fresh air.

#4 Lisa Congdon
I've posted about Lisa before (as a Monday Muse, and for her 365 Days of Hand Lettering Project). But today she also get's to be in the Fab 5 for her art blog, Today is Going to be Awesome.
One great thing about Lisa's blog is that she posts everyday, thanks to her 365 project. But she also posts quite regularly about her other projects, inspirations, and life in San Francisco.

To round up this little list of my Fab 5 Artist Bloggers, we have Katie Rodgers, fashion illustrator and the face behind Paperfashion, a blog where Katie shares her work, tutorials, and other inspiring tidbits.
One thing I love about Katie's work is that I know it when I see it. She has her own unique style that I can spot anywhere (namely on Pinterest where I constantly see her watercolor lovelies popping up).

That does it for today's Fab 5 - tune in next week for my Fab 5 Art Blogs! (yep, I'm distinguishing between artist bloggers and art blogs).
I hope you get a chance to go check out these 5 artists and their little corners of the internet - but here's a **Warning** Don't start browsing unless you have at least an hour to spend at any of these blogs!
Happy Friday!

What a nice feature! And to be included in such great company : )
Thanks so much, Megan!
