I'm not sure what took me so long to post about Jennifer Sanchez. Her work has caught my eye time and time again. I pulled these images from her archives, because some of her works in previous years are my favorites.
I can't post about her without mentioning, however, that as much as I like her work, a few pieces from 2008 and 2009 reminded me a bit too much of Beatriz Milhazes. She's a huge favorite of mine, and some of Sanchez's pieces were a bit too close for my comfort in resembling Beatriz's work...
But her work has evolved, and I love where her artistic journey has taken her. Here are a few of my favorites:
I think I was actually supposed to post about a landscape painter today (did I say that I'd be doing that last week?) but in true Megan fashion, I just wasn't in that mind set for today.
Anyhoo - happy Monday! Busy week for me as things start to come together in this little hand lettering business I've got going. A few orders + a big project for a wedding styled shoot in Richmond on Thursday.
And, still on pins and needles for another week or so as I wait to hear about the mural!
