So I printed a bunch of instagrams via Postal Pix (an app that you can order your instagram photos from and receive by mail) and it was super convenient and super cheap. I've been thinking of a billion fun things to do with them, and today I created a little photo box to display a few in.
I had a couple wooden boxes from Ikea in the closet, and a whole collection of used paint stirrers (I knew there was a purpose for collecting them!) and that sparked a fun and simple idea. Here's how I did it:
Wooden boxes - old paint stirrers - instagrams - white craft paint - brushes - hot glue
Sharpie - twine - hammer - nails
1. Paint the box! (if you want to...) Use whatever color you want! I chose white, but you could go bold and funky, or even just keep the color of the wood.
2. Hot glue your paint stirrers onto the frame of the box. If you don't have hot glue around, use wood glue or any other type of glue that bonds well to wood.
**I also had an old ruler that I used in addition to the paint stirrers
3. Play around with different ways to arrange your photos! I tried a few different ways (even adding a painted twig) until I was happy.
**I also used a sharpie to write "Love Joy Peace" at the bottom
When you are satisfied, simply glue your photos in place!
4. Display! How and where is up to you! I'm in the middle of a laundry room revamp, so that's where my wall of photos will be going. I attached two small nails to the top of my box and hung with twine.
Have fun! No reason your instagrams should stay confined to your phone!
